Monarch Money

Paid app that pulls accounts, budgets and investments into one view.

Our verdict

Monarch suits households that want every account, budget and investment tracked in one paid app. Skip it if you want a free tool or don't want another subscription.

What it does well

  • Connects bank accounts, cards, loans and investments from 13,000+ institutions.
  • A partner or financial professional can join at no extra cost.
  • Finds recurring subscriptions for you.
  • 7-day free trial and a no-questions-asked money-back guarantee.

Where it falls short

  • No free plan: $99.99 a year or $14.99 a month once the trial ends.
  • The pricing page does not show separate prices for the Core and Plus tiers.
  • Outside the US, the site only points to availability in Canada.
The Monarch Money website
The official Monarch Money website, 26 October 2026.

Monarch is a money app that brings your accounts, credit cards, loans, real estate and investments into one place. You can track net worth, cash flow and spending, set budgets, spot recurring subscriptions, and share the account with a partner or a professional at no extra cost.

It costs $99.99 a year or $14.99 a month, with the first week free and a money-back guarantee. There are two tiers, Core and Plus; Plus adds forecasting, tracking of multiple income sources and deeper investment tools, but the pricing page does not list a separate price for it.

It runs on the web, iOS and Android. The catch is simple: there is no free plan, and bank syncing can only be as reliable as the data providers behind it.
