Privacy
We collect as little as we can. This page lists all of it. Last updated 16 October 2026.
Newsletter
If you sign up, we store your email address, the page you signed up on and the date. We use it only to send the weekly comparison email. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Clicks on “Visit” buttons
When you click through to a tool, we record which tool, which of our pages you came from, the website that referred you and your country if our network provider tells us. We do not store your IP address, and we don’t use cookies to track you across sites.
Visitor statistics
We count page visits with Umami, which runs on our own server. It uses no cookies and does not store your IP address, and it skips you entirely if your browser sends “Do Not Track”. We see totals, such as which pages are read most, never who you are.
Reviewer accounts
If you create an account to write reviews, we store your display name, email address and a securely hashed password, plus the reviews you write. Your display name appears next to approved reviews; your email address never does.
Searches and the AI tool finder
When you search, our AI tool finder may suggest tools for the job you describe. Your search text, and nothing else about you, is sent to Z.ai (Zhipu AI), the company that makes the GLM AI models, to pick the tools. We keep the text and the suggestions so our team can check they were right. We don’t store your IP address or anything else that identifies you with it, so don’t type personal details into the search box.
Spam protection
Our sign-up and log-in forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending them. It looks at signals from your browser and usually needs no click. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy covers that check.
Server logs
Like any website, our server keeps short-lived technical logs for security and to fix errors.
