Our verdict

Good for businesses that need a widely used e-signature service with integrations and an API. Skip it if you send only a few documents a month and don't want a paid plan.

What it does well

  • Mobile apps on the App Store and Google Play
  • Developer Center and APIs, plus 1,000+ pre-built integrations
  • 30-day refund window on annual plans bought on Docusign.com

Where it falls short

  • No free plan listed on the eSignature pricing page
  • Personal is limited to 5 envelopes a month
  • Standard and Business Pro allow 100 envelopes per user per year, then pay-as-you-go
The Docusign website
The official Docusign website, 16 October 2026.

Docusign eSignature is a product for sending, signing and tracking documents electronically, part of Docusign's wider agreement management platform. It is available on the web and through iOS and Android apps, and Docusign offers APIs and a Developer Center.

Pricing on the US plans page: Personal $11/month (single user, 5 envelopes per month), Standard $30/user/month (100 envelopes per user per year, up to 50 users) and Business Pro $45/user/month (same envelope limit, up to 50 users). All three are 'Annual, billed monthly' with annual commitments of $132, $360 and $540. Enhanced plans for 50+ users are custom.

Extra envelopes beyond the allowance are billed pay-as-you-go at a per-envelope rate that the page does not state. Monthly-billed options for Standard and Business Pro are mentioned in the FAQ with up to 10 envelopes per user per month.
