Docusign eSignature has no free plan on its pricing page. On the US plans page, Personal is $11/month (5 envelopes a month), Standard is $30/user/month and Business Pro is $45/user/month, all with annual commitments billed monthly. Standard and Business Pro include 100 envelopes per user per year, with pay-as-you-go envelopes after that.
Documenso calls itself an open source DocuSign alternative and is licensed under AGPL-3.0. Its hosted Free plan gives 5 documents a month with up to 10 recipients each. Paid plans are Individual at $25/month, Teams at $40/month (5 users, extra users $8/month each) and Platform at $250/month. The page also shows yearly totals ($300, $480 and $3,000).
Both offer an API. Documenso adds React and Vue embeds, webhooks and white-label signing on higher plans, and you can self-host it. Docusign lists 1,000+ integrations, iOS and Android apps, and a wider agreement management platform.
Note that Documenso's unlimited documents start at the $25/month Individual plan, while Docusign's Personal plan at $11/month caps you at 5 envelopes a month. The two are priced on different models, so compare against your own sending volume. Docusign's own pages showed two price sets, so confirm current pricing.
