Tabnine
An enterprise AI coding agent and assistant for IDEs and the CLI, deployable SaaS, in a private VPC or on-premises.
Our verdict
What it does well
- Supports VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse and Visual Studio 2022 and 2026
- Can be deployed as SaaS, in a private VPC or on-premises
- Docs state suggestions come from models trained on permissively licensed open source code
Where it falls short
- No public prices; Enterprise accounts are set up together with Tabnine's team
- No free plan found on official pages
- Tabnine was acquired by Tricentis in July 2026, so the product direction is unclear

Tabnine describes itself as a fully private, organization-aware AI coding agent that connects to an organisation's repositories and development systems. It offers an agent usable through a CLI or IDE, a chat for questions about a codebase, code completions and an admin console. Supported IDEs are VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse and Visual Studio 2022 and 2026, on Windows, macOS and Linux (Visual Studio on Windows only).
Tabnine's docs list only two subscription plans, Enterprise (SaaS) and Enterprise (private installation). They state that Enterprise SaaS accounts can only be set up together with the Tabnine team. No prices, free plan or trial appear on the docs pages.
On July 30, 2026 Tricentis announced it had acquired Tabnine and plans to integrate its Enterprise Context Engine into the Tricentis platform. tabnine.com now redirects to tricentis.com, so the former Tabnine pricing page could not be read.
