Plausible Analytics
Privacy-focused web analytics with a simple one-page dashboard, hosted or self-hosted.
Our verdict
What it does well
- Open source (AGPLv3); self-hosted Community Edition is free
- Says it uses no cookies, so no cookie banner is needed
- 30-day free trial with no credit card required
Where it falls short
- No free hosted plan; paid plans start at $9/month
- Self-hosted edition lacks funnels, ecommerce revenue goals, SSO and sites API
- Self-hosting means you run the server and backups; support is community-only

Plausible Analytics is a web analytics service that positions itself as a privacy-focused replacement for Google Analytics. It shows the main stats on a single dashboard and lists scroll depth tracking, UTM campaign tracking, codeless goals, a real-time view, Search Console integration and bot filtering.
Plausible says it uses no cookies, does not track individual users, and processes visitor data on servers owned by European companies; these are the vendor's own claims. Funnels and user journeys are on the Business plan and above.
Hosted pricing is a monthly subscription based on pageviews: Starter $9, Growth $14 and Business $19 per month, with Enterprise at custom pricing and a 30-day free trial. Yearly billing shows '2 months free'. The self-hosted Community Edition is free under AGPLv3, with the JavaScript tracker under MIT.
