ChatGPT's individual plans are Free, Go ($8 per month), Plus ($20) and Pro (from $100). Google's are Free, Google AI Plus ($4.99 per month), AI Pro ($19.99) and AI Ultra (from $99.99, with a $199.99 tier). The tiers are structured differently, so prices are not like-for-like.

Gemini's Free plan lists the Flash-Lite model, image generation and editing, Deep Research, Gemini Live, Canvas, Gems and 15 GB of storage. ChatGPT's Free plan lists unlimited text chats (subject to abuse guardrails) and limited uploads, image creation, voice, deep research, memory, Codex and ChatGPT Work.

Google defines usage as compute-based limits that refresh every 5 hours until a weekly limit and can be extended with AI credits, and gives usage as multiples of Free (2x, 4x, 5x, 20x). OpenAI's paid tiers are described as more, expanded or maximum access without a numeric table on the page.

Gemini is on web, a Windows and macOS desktop app, and mobile; ChatGPT is on web, iOS and Android with Mac and Windows downloads and a Chrome extension. Google's Pro and Ultra plans also list Jules, Antigravity and Google Home Premium.
