ChatGPT's individual plans are Free ($0), Go ($8 per month, may include ads), Plus ($20 per month) and Pro (from $100 per month, with a choice of 3 usage tiers). Claude's are Free ($0), Pro ($17 per month billed annually or $20 monthly) and Max (from $100 per month, 5x or 20x Pro usage).
On limits, ChatGPT lists unlimited text chats on every individual plan, subject to abuse guardrails, with limited uploads, image creation, voice, deep research and memory on Free. Claude says every plan has usage limits that reset on a rolling five-hour session window, with weekly limits on paid plans, and does not publish message counts.
Feature lists differ. ChatGPT's table includes image creation, voice chats, deep research, projects, scheduled tasks, custom GPTs, Codex and ChatGPT Work. Claude's table lists web search, file creation and code execution, memory, Artifacts, connectors, Skills and voice mode on Free, with Claude Code, Research, Claude in Chrome and Microsoft 365 on paid plans; image generation does not appear in its plan table.
Both run on the web, iOS, Android, Mac and Windows; Claude also lists a Linux desktop app in beta. For teams, Claude Team is $20 or $25 per standard seat for 2 to 150 users, while ChatGPT Business starts at 2 users with its price not shown on the pricing page.
